Synopsis

Visage's "Mind Of A Toy" presents a darkly whimsical world of abandoned playthings. Toys tumble down a staircase, while a marionette-like figure is manipulated, discarded and left among objects that have seemingly outlived their usefulness. Steve Strange appears in an exaggerated Little Lord Fauntleroy-style costume, adding an unsettling human presence to the miniature, theatrical setting. The video's eerie imagery turns the song's theme of neglect and obsolescence into a surreal tableau that is both childlike and distinctly sinister.
