Synopsis

Lil' Flip and Lea present a polished, flirtatious take on a casual summer romance. Set around a sunlit beach and a luxurious villa, the video alternates between Flip delivering his verses and Lea performing the melodic hook. She appears both alongside Flip and alone on the villa balcony, while the relaxed coastal setting, glamorous lifestyle imagery, and confident performances reinforce the song's invitation to spend time together without necessarily calling it love.

Factoids & Trivia

• "Sunshine" was released in 2004 as the second single from Lil' Flip's album "U Gotta Feel Me."

• The track became Lil' Flip's biggest mainstream hit, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and Hot Rap Songs charts.

• The song was produced by The Synphony, with Lea providing the sung hook that gives the record its R&B crossover character.

• The accompanying video runs for about four minutes and emphasizes beachside and villa locations rather than a detailed narrative.

• In 2022, Tyga released another song titled "Sunshine" featuring Jhené Aiko and Pop Smoke, built around Lil' Flip's earlier song.
