Synopsis

Shot in stark black and white, the video turns Pete Philly into the center of a minimalist paper-based performance. He holds folded sheets in his hands as they move and flutter through the frame, creating a visual rhythm that matches the song's restrained atmosphere. Later, Philly lies on his back, dressed with a high collar from which the papers rise and scatter. The motion reverses toward the end, with the sheets pulled back into the collar, giving the clip a simple but striking sense of release and return.

• "One" is the title track from Pete Philly's first solo album after the end of his collaboration with Perquisite.

• The video premiered online on January 9, 2012, shortly before the album's German release.

• Its visual concept centers on folded paper rather than a conventional narrative. A Dutch cultural funding catalog describes the sheets moving through the frame, emerging from Philly's collar before being drawn back inside.

• The project combines the work of photographer Pablo Delfos and designer Niek Pulles. Pulles handled the design, while Tobias Pekelharing served as director of photography.

• Editing was credited to Taco Potma and Rigel Kilston, with Potma also responsible for the grading.
