Synopsis

A woman arrives at Coolio's apartment and quickly becomes involved with him, but the encounter is interrupted when she receives a page and leaves. Outside, she reunites with her boyfriend, unaware of what has just happened. Coolio remains inside, moving through the apartment while rapping as a series of couples and intimate situations unfold around him. The video's playful, provocative imagery contrasts with the song's warning about casual sex, unprotected intercourse, and the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Factoids & Trivia

• Released in 1995, the video accompanied the second single from Coolio's album "Gangsta's Paradise."

• "Too Hot" reworks Kool & the Gang's 1979 song of the same name. Coolio retained the recognizable sung chorus while adding new rap verses, and James "J.T." Taylor, the original song's lead vocalist, contributes to the updated recording.
