Synopsis

Boyz II Men portray four troubled romances unfolding across New Orleans. Wanya Morris and Lark Voorhies argue after a misunderstanding, Shawn Stockman meets Victoria Rowell in Audubon Park, Michael McCary hopes to reconcile with Renée Jones after a birthday quarrel, and Nathan Morris loses Kim Fields because music has taken priority over their relationship. As the group sings in the rain, on a streetcar, and around the French Quarter, each couple confronts separation before finding a way back to one another.

• The video was filmed in New Orleans, using recognizable locations and imagery including Audubon Park, a streetcar, the French Quarter, and rain-soaked streets.

• The four actresses were personal choices from the group. Wanya Morris selected Lark Voorhies, while Nathan Morris chose Kim Fields, having been a fan of her work on "The Facts of Life."

• Nathan Morris later recalled that the New Orleans shoot lasted about three days and named "On Bended Knee" one of his two favorite Boyz II Men videos.

• The cast connected several generations of television and soap-opera performers with the group. Alongside Voorhies and Fields, the video features Victoria Rowell and Renée Jones.

• The song was written and produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for Boyz II Men's 1994 album "II."
