Synopsis

A woman named Julie dances alone in her apartment before receiving a call from her escaped ex-boyfriend, Nick. As he makes his way toward her, Nick kills a police officer and pursues Julie through the building. She flees by elevator and stairwell, eventually reaching the roof, where Nick charges at her and falls to his death. The chase is intercut with Stabbing Westward performing in a room. As the song progresses, the band members leave to watch the violent story unfold like a movie.

• The 1996 video uses a self-contained horror-thriller plot rather than relying on a conventional performance-only format.

• Its framing device is deliberately self-referential: the band members gradually abandon the performance room to watch the story involving Nick and Julie.
