Factoids & Trivia
- The video was released in 1998 as the lead visual for Method Man's second solo album, Tical 2000: Judgement Day.
- Its imagery draws directly from the album's millennium-apocalypse concept, using flames, armor, wasteland scenery, and a throne-room setting to present Method Man as a ruler emerging from a collapsed world.
- The song's spoken opening is based on the introduction to the 1989 science-fiction film Cyborg, reinforcing the video's futuristic and dystopian tone.
- RZA appears in the video, adding a Wu-Tang Clan connection to a project otherwise centered on Method Man's solo persona.
- The album version of "Judgement Day" runs approximately six minutes, while the edited video version is considerably shorter.
- Method Man later recalled that the shoot had a lively atmosphere and included appearances from Treach and Busta Rhymes, although the finished video focuses primarily on its fantasy-apocalypse imagery.
