Synopsis

At an elegant gala in a grand country house, Roxy Music perform "Avalon" as Bryan Ferry sings from the stage. The event's polished surface is unsettled by a mysterious woman, played by Sophie Ward, whose presence seems to captivate Ferry and the band. Intercut with close-ups of the musicians and dreamlike views of the audience, the film turns the performance into a romantic, slightly uncanny encounter. Its stately setting and subdued glamour echo the song's vision of an enchanted, unreachable place.
