Two BMWs race through a cavernous London Docklands warehouse, with Taio Cruz and Kylie Minogue riding in the back seats. When the cars finally converge, the singers step out and take center stage. Kylie leads a troupe of female dancers in a choreographed face-off with Cruz. The pair trade vocals and attitude while a band performs behind them. The sleek, high-energy clip turns the song’s “higher” theme into a stylish warehouse showdown.
The version cataloged here as the Worldwide version features Kylie Minogue. It premiered in November 2010, with the official UK upload dated November 19, 2010.
The cars are used as a dramatic entrance device rather than as part of a developed storyline. Once Cruz and Minogue leave the vehicles, the clip shifts almost entirely into a performance and dance-piece format.
A separate video was made for the North American version featuring Travie McCoy. It follows the same basic warehouse concept but uses different angles and additional footage.
Norwegian director Alex Herron helmed the video, which was produced by BTE@Pulse and filmed in London. Mark Adcock was the second-camera operator.
The two vehicles are identified as 2010 BMW 7 Series sedans, giving the opening race a distinctly polished, luxury-car look. This placement continued a longer standing cooperation with director Alex Herron.
