Synopsis

The video plays like a compact crime thriller. Two masked men armed with assault rifles stalk an apparent rival, dragging him through a bleak urban landscape marked by burning cars and nighttime violence. Their attack culminates in a brutal assault and attempted drowning. Between these scenes, Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild appears as a cold, stone-faced gangster, his hair being braided while he watches the proceedings. The stylized imagery turns the track's collision of delicate electronic pop and hard-edged rap into a dark, unsettling underworld drama.

• "Love and Respect" was released in 2013 as the first single from When Saints Go Machine's album "Infinity Pool," marking a sharper, more aggressive turn from the Copenhagen band's earlier electronic pop material.

• Killer Mike's contribution grew out of a short musical sketch by the band. The group wanted an old-school rap voice for the track, and the collaboration developed after Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild met Killer Mike following a concert in Copenhagen.
