A young woman runs through a shadowy, disorienting landscape, seemingly trapped in an endless loop. She appears to be fleeing an unseen threat while moving through stark outdoor locations, digging into the ground and uncovering a buried box. Repeated shots, abrupt edits and ghostly overlays make the action feel fragmented, as though memories or alternate versions of the same event are colliding. With no performance footage from the band, the video plays like a compact psychological mystery rather than a conventional music promo.

• "Sails" appears as the third track on *True Loves*, Hooray For Earth's 2011 album released by Dovecote Records on June 7, 2011.

• The video stars Madeline Zima, known at the time for her roles in *The Nanny* and *Californication*. Noel Heroux later joked that her connection to *The Nanny* was especially meaningful to him because he had watched the show religiously.

• The production was reportedly filmed in a single night outside David Parker's home. The limited setting was expanded through ominous color treatment, repeated images and layered editing.
