Synopsis

Alice In Chains perform inside a shadowy, weathered barn while a hooded figure moves through the surrounding stalls and animal pens. The video alternates between the band's intense performance and glimpses of the mysterious stranger searching the building. He eventually discovers Layne Staley crouched in a corner, then removes his hood to reveal that his eyelids have been sewn shut. The disturbing image directly visualizes the song's central lyric about having one's eyes forcibly closed.
