Synopsis

Danny O'Reilly is abducted by The Tazers, a masked and anarchic fictional girl band determined to make him their new lead singer. Dragged away from his ordinary life as The Coronas' frontman, he is subjected to their increasingly chaotic plans and forced into an unfamiliar pop-star role. The video turns the song's relationship anxieties into a playful kidnapping story, mixing band performance with slapstick, theatrical menace, and a deliberately exaggerated Hollywood-style presentation.

Factoids & Trivia

  • "How This Goes" was released as the third single from The Coronas' 2014 album "The Long Way."
  • The video was filmed in Kent, with the Falconhurst Estate near Sevenoaks serving as a principal location.
  • The production brief called for a dark-comedy treatment, with a rich, high-contrast look inspired by Hollywood movies.
  • The fictional girl group at the center of the story is called The Tazers. Their presence gives the video a deliberately heightened, music-industry parody angle.
  • The video was promoted in March 2015, ahead of the UK release of "The Long Way" on Island Records.
