Synopsis

Marteria moves through a surreal series of life stages in pursuit of royal status. The self-styled king passes through stark studio settings, symbolic props, and shifting tableaux: palm trees become clocks, money falls from above, and a door appears to promise a wedding. The imagery gradually reveals a portrait of ambition, frustration, and self-delusion rather than triumph. By the finale, the dreamlike spectacle collapses into a bare room, leaving the supposed king alone with the remains of his fantasy.

• The video was filmed at the Havel Studios in Berlin and produced by We Are Chop Chop.

• Its visual language combines live action, theatrical sets, cardboard props, animation-like transformations, and deliberately artificial studio imagery.
