Synopsis

Set in a grimy underground garage, the video follows a lone man as his body gradually mutates into something part human and part insect. His movements become increasingly erratic, eventually turning into frantic, wasp-like flights through the confined space. Live-action imagery blends with digital compositing to create a queasy, surreal transformation, matching the track's jagged electronic rhythms. The result is a compact body-horror fantasy about identity dissolving into something alien, grotesque, and strangely liberated.

• "Gob Coitus" appeared on Chris Clark's 2003 album *Empty the Bones of You*, released by Warp Records. Clark later shortened his performing name to Clark in 2006.

• The video grew out of the Warp Records and Creative Review competition in 2002, where it helped establish the young visual team behind it.

• Its imagery combines filmed material with computer-generated elements rather than relying on fully computer-animated characters. The hybrid technique gives the transformation a tactile, unsettling quality.

• An alternate version was associated with filmmaker Richard Fenwick and was listed as a 2002, 3-minute-10-second stock-footage work.
