Synopsis

Yellowcard arrives in a Vista Cruiser at a vacant Los Angeles parking lot, turns the space outside a supermarket into an improvised stage, and launches into "Way Away." Intercut with the performance, Ryan Key packs his belongings, leaves behind his job, family, and girlfriend, and writes the song while preparing to move on. The video mirrors the song's autobiographical theme: abandoning Jacksonville, Florida, for California and pursuing the band's ambitions despite people who doubted them. It concludes with Key and the band performing before an image of himself before he drives away.
