Synopsis

Evy Jane's "Closer" presents vocalist Evelyn Jane Mason as a solitary, dreamlike figure suspended in a constantly shifting visual space. Her image is stretched, scratched, duplicated and broken apart by bright, melting CGI effects, giving the performance an unstable, hallucinatory quality. Rather than following a conventional narrative, the video translates the track's sensuality and emotional longing into waves of color, distortion and movement. Mason remains the central presence as the imagery gradually dissolves into a hypnotic, otherworldly collage.
