Synopsis

In a misty forest, a nude woman wanders through the undergrowth as if searching for something lost. Her calm, dreamlike journey is interrupted by the discovery of a strange fallen creature, which appears to belong to the world of myth rather than nature. The encounter gradually shifts the video from ethereal fantasy toward something darker and more unsettling. Its final turn recasts the woman's apparent innocence, leaving the viewer with an ambiguous, fairy-tale-like image of beauty, violence and transformation.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video features Australian model Louise van de Vorst, whose nude appearance led several outlets to label the clip not safe for work.

• WIM vocalist Martin Solomon said the original concept was partly inspired by Roald Dahl's short story "The Swan." The story's disturbing imagery involving a boy and a swan provided the starting point for the video's swan-related ideas, although the finished clip developed in a different direction.

• The production came from Collider, the Australian production company associated with a number of music videos, commercials and short films.

• "See You Hurry" was released in 2011 as the lead single from WIM's self-titled debut album on Modular Recordings.

• The song also received a remix from Twin Shadow, extending the track's connection with the atmospheric electronic and alternative music scenes of the period.

• The video was nominated for Best Music Video at the 2011 Camerimage festival.
