Synopsis

Against shaky nighttime images of downtown Miami, a young man moves through a city that feels both crowded and isolating. He mops floors, walks through shadowy alleys, and drinks alone in a busy club, appearing disconnected from the life around him. His journey ends in an abandoned, unfurnished house, where he finally dances freely by himself. The video presents him as one of the invisible workers and immigrants who pass through Miami, turning a nocturnal city portrait into a quiet study of displacement and release.

• The video was released in January 2013 ahead of *Invisible Life*, Helado Negro's fourth album, which arrived through Asthmatic Kitty on March 5, 2013.

• Roberto Carlos Lange connected the video's central idea to the lyric about ghosts dancing alone. He described the protagonist as representing transient workers and immigrants, including people from his own family who lived and worked in South Florida while remaining socially restricted.

• Miami was chosen partly because Lange grew up there and had an established creative community in the area. He wanted the setting to feel distinct from New York and to reflect South Florida's culturally hybrid, Latin American atmosphere.
