Synopsis

"Made To Stray" is an entirely abstract, kaleidoscopic animation rather than a conventional narrative video. Saturated reds, yellows, greens, blues and purples form shifting organic shapes, geometric patterns and mirrored textures that continuously fold into one another. The image appears to zoom endlessly inward, with each transition revealing another layer of the same visual world. The result is a hypnotic, psychedelic counterpart to Mount Kimbie's electronic track, emphasizing rhythm, motion and atmosphere instead of characters or plot.

• The video was released in April 2013, shortly before Mount Kimbie's second album, "Cold Spring Fault Less Youth," arrived through Warp Records in May.
