Synopsis

A woman wakes on a sofa in an unfamiliar apartment and finds a note inviting her to make herself at home. She responds by turning the nearly empty flat into a strange playground, moving through it with disjointed, dance-like gestures. Her body bends, fragments, disappears and reappears in unexpected places as ordinary objects seem to take on ritual significance. Blurring physical movement with visual manipulation, the video follows her increasingly dreamlike exploration until the boundary between body, room and image dissolves.

• "Go Visible" appears on Kelpe's fourth album, Fourth: The Golden Eagle, which was released on June 3, 2013.

• Kelpe is the recording alias of London electronic producer Kel McKeown. The album was issued through his own DRUT Recordings label.

• Contemporary dancer Melissa Spiccia is the video's featured performer. Her choreography provides the central visual structure, with the music video operating as a piece of screendance as much as a conventional music clip.

• The video's visual language combines live-action dance with image manipulation, including apparent stop-motion movement, compositing and the fragmentation of the performer's silhouette.

• The opening note, which welcomes the stranger to the apartment, sets up the video's central tension: an invitation to feel at home becomes a surreal encounter with an unfamiliar space and its objects.
