Synopsis

Set against an ominous Ozarks landscape, the animated video follows a preacher fleeing through the wilderness after a violent baptism ends in tragedy. A mob of men and dogs pursues him across Caney Mountain, while the dead woman's body and the weight of his actions remain ever-present. The story unfolds like a dark Appalachian fairy tale, matching the song's themes of religious fervor, guilt, punishment, and the possibility of forgiveness within a tightly bound Bible Belt community.
