Synopsis

A terrified young woman runs through a bleak landscape before encountering three masked, demonic figures. They subject her to a grotesque communion, offering the body and blood of a Satanic ritual. As the ceremony intensifies, she is stripped and seemingly possessed. Parallel images show a man carrying a live sheep toward a sacrificial site, while a gray wolf and the band performing in an abandoned church add to the video's ominous, ritualistic atmosphere.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video premiered on Behemoth's YouTube channel on December 3, 2013, ahead of the February 2014 release of *The Satanist*.

• "Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel" was chosen as the first single and opens *The Satanist*. Nergal said the track's position at the beginning made it a natural choice for the band's first video from the album.

• Nergal described the clip as an "ecstatic manifest" of Behemoth's artistic vision and said the band took as much time as necessary to realize it properly.

• Nergal has said that the script and central concept were largely his ideas.

• The production continued Behemoth's collaboration with the Polish production company Grupa 13, but the band deliberately wanted to move away from the look of some of its earlier videos and explore a different visual quality.

• The video was filmed in an abandoned church in Poland. The same location was later used for Behemoth's *In Absentia Dei* performance project.

• Both censored and uncensored versions circulate. The censored edit primarily obscures nudity rather than substantially changing the video's violent and disturbing imagery.
