Synopsis

• "Portrait d'une panthere" is the opening track on Ootheque's self-titled debut album, released by Montreal label Bonsound on May 14, 2013. The song runs for 3:45.

• The video was produced by Romeo & fils and promoted by Bonsound alongside the album release.

• Ootheque was the solo project of Francis Mineau, known as a member of the Montreal band Malajube. Mineau recorded nearly the entire album himself before adapting the material for live performance with a band.

• The track begins with birdsong before moving into a bass-driven groove, synthesizers, and percussion with an unmistakable 1980s pop influence. That contrast between natural sounds and synthetic production complements the video's remote, intimate setting.
