Wiki

Synopsis

A lone woman crosses a barren, surreal landscape shaped by abandoned industry and desert-like emptiness. Her journey moves between stark outdoor spaces, decaying structures, and dreamlike images, gradually shifting from isolation and exhaustion toward water and renewal. The video treats the song less as a literal story than as a metaphysical passage: a search for meaning and human connection that ends with an embrace of the sea.

Factoids & Trivia

  • "Wise Enough" appeared on Lamb's 2011 album "5", the duo's first album after a lengthy hiatus.
  • The video was released in 2013 and was produced through Anormal Sessions.
  • Its official description presents the film as a metaphysical journey from a decaying industrial landscape to the sea.
  • The production was selected for the UK Film Festival in 2013, followed by official selections at the Berlin Independent Film Festival, the Newport Beach Film Festival, and the 2014 Raindance Film Festival.
  • Anormal Sessions is known for live music video projects, in which sound and image are captured simultaneously. "Wise Enough" was not made in that format, but the production still relied on extensive visual manipulation and carefully constructed effects.
  • Lili Walters, who appears as the central figure, later recalled that the demanding shoot left her freezing and hungry, but also helped rekindle her interest in acting.
  • The video's short-film scale and festival circulation helped it stand apart from a conventional promotional clip, giving Lamb's reflective song an experimental, cinematic setting.
