Synopsis

In a stark, mostly black-and-white nightmare, masked figures perform inside a decaying theatrical space while strange forces manipulate the action from the shadows. Puppetry, ritualistic gestures, contorted bodies and sudden bursts of violence turn the stage into a vision of human helplessness. As the performance grows increasingly grotesque, the boundaries between actors, puppets and unseen masters collapse. Loosely adapted from Edgar Allan Poe's "The Conqueror Worm," the video ends like a funeral pageant, with the curtain falling over a doomed human drama.
