Synopsis

In a stark, wintry mountain landscape, Jimmy Gnecco moves through a dreamlike confrontation with a mysterious older figure played by David Carradine. The narrative unfolds like an allegory about inner conflict, temptation, and the search for truth, using stark imagery and an ominous atmosphere rather than a literal storyline. Performance footage of Gnecco is intercut with the narrative material, giving the video the feel of a short art film built around the song's dark, emotionally charged mood.

• "Devil" appears on Ours' fourth studio album, "Ballet the Boxer 1," released on June 11, 2013.

• David Carradine's appearance is widely noted as his final filmed performance before his death in 2009. He plays the Devil, a role that fits the video's symbolic and confrontational tone.

• The video's narrative footage is closely connected to "8 for Infinity," a 2010 experimental short featuring Jimmy Gnecco and Carradine. That film was shot in the Northern Canadian Rockies and also presents Carradine as the Devil.
