Synopsis

Slow Skies' "Across The Sea" is an impressionistic, atmospheric piece with no conventional plot. It builds its visual world through a flowing montage of changing images, using movement, light, texture and spacious compositions to suggest distance and emotional drift. Rather than explaining a literal story, the video mirrors the song's restrained, chamber-folk mood, leaving its sense of longing and separation open to the viewer's interpretation.

• The video premiered on the Irish music site Nialler9 on September 6, 2012.

• "Across The Sea" was included on Slow Skies' debut EP, "Silhouettes," released a few months before the video appeared.

• Slow Skies is the project of Irish singer-songwriter Karen Sheridan, who developed the project with producer Conal Herron after her earlier work with the Dublin trio Kasette.

• The production was associated with Feel Good Lost, an Irish audiovisual collective. Additional footage was shot by Petr Stary and Conal Thomson.
