Synopsis

Connan Mockasin moves through a strange, dreamlike London populated by colorful characters in homemade costumes, painted faces and oversized wigs. After emerging from a fantastical group scene, he wanders through the city, riding the Underground and passing through public spaces while apparently following a woman dressed as a dolphin. The video's loose, surreal journey mirrors the song's psychedelic drift, shifting between playful spectacle and an almost melancholy search for connection. Its deliberately handmade look makes London feel like part of an eccentric fairy tale.

• At around ten minutes, "Forever Dolphin Love" is considerably longer than a conventional pop promo and unfolds more like a miniature surrealist film.

• The video was promoted in March 2011, shortly before the Phantasy/Because Music release of Mockasin's album of the same name on March 28, 2011.

• Its visual world was built around painted faces, wigs, papier-mache costumes and deliberately homemade-looking fancy dress. Contemporary descriptions compared the makeup to the British children's-art program "Art Attack."
