Synopsis

In a sun-bleached desert, a young woman armed with a rifle hunts an apparently stranded alien creature. Her pursuit unfolds around an old Volvo, with the clip shifting between dusty roadside suspense, strange close encounters and bursts of surreal creature imagery. The hunter eventually confronts the alien at close range, but the apparent victory proves premature. The pulsing, unpredictable action gives the song a playful science-fiction B-movie atmosphere, balancing menace, absurdity and Deerhoof's eccentric pop sensibility.

• The video was released in 2011 to promote "Secret Mobilization," a track from Deerhoof's album *Deerhoof vs. Evil*, released on January 25, 2011.
