Synopsis

A solitary man wanders through the English countryside, appearing increasingly lost and detached from the world around him. His journey unfolds in a subdued, dreamlike atmosphere, where ordinary landscapes take on an unsettling, almost mythical quality. As the film progresses, his path intersects with an older woman, creating a fragile moment of human connection amid the surrounding isolation. Factoids & Trivia

• The narrative video was released on September 24, 2012, several months after the song's initial moving-art video.

• It forms the tenth installment of Sigur Ros' Valtari Mystery Film Experiment, a series in which filmmakers were invited to create visual interpretations of songs from the album Valtari.

• Aidan Gillen appears in the film alongside English folk singer Shirley Collins.

• The short won the British Council award for Best UK Short at the 10th London Short Film Festival.

• It was also selected for Art Basel Miami 2012 and the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2013.

• A separate moving-art version of "Ekki mukk" premiered on March 26, 2012. That earlier piece is an abstract visual work rather than the narrative short.
