Synopsis

M2M perform on a retro television set while, in a bleak futuristic prison, two young men watch them from their cell. Using a handheld device, one man opens a shimmering portal between the prison and the television studio. The singers step through and help the prisoners escape as guards give chase. After fleeing in a car, the group passes through another portal and emerges in a sunlit field, where their adventure ends in freedom.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was filmed in Toronto, Canada, and contrasts a 1970s-style television performance with science-fiction prison imagery.

• "Everything You Do" was re-recorded with new vocals for its single release. The video was made to the radio version using those vocals, although some broadcasts reportedly used an edit matched to the original album recording.

• The song was the third and final single from M2M's debut album, "Shades of Purple."

• The single reached No. 21 on the US Hot Dance Singles Sales chart.

• A Spanish version of the song, titled "Todo Lo Que Haces," was also recorded.
