Synopsis

Tori Amos plays a mischievous, provocatively styled troublemaker in a Los Angeles back-alley setting. The video opens with her arguing with a police officer over an illegally parked car, claiming that someone broke in and stole her underwear. Once the song begins, she struts through the stylized street scene, interacts with assorted characters, and creates a deliberately chaotic spectacle. The clip captures the glossy, exaggerated attitude of the late-1980s Y Kant Tori Read era rather than the more introspective image Amos would later develop.
