• The video was filmed partly at the Lisson Green housing estate in North London. One shoot location was flat No. 18, whose occupants were reportedly paid ten pounds for the inconvenience.

• Brett Anderson later said the band struggled to recreate the intensity of their live performances on camera. He recalled that they used cocaine before filming and then performed with the required energy.

• Anderson described the video's visual approach as a mixture of "seedy glamour" and theatrical provocation. The papier-mache pig's head and painted costumes were inexpensive props rather than elaborate production designs.

• Several broadcasters edited or rejected parts of the video. Scenes involving two men kissing, a pig-headed figure and a woman in a bikini were considered too controversial for some daytime screenings.
