Synopsis

Shakira and her lover are caught up in a stylized fugitive caper. After escaping from jail, they race through a series of comic, chaotic situations while police pursue them. The couple drive with their eyes covered, evade capture, and eventually wind up in a nightclub, where Shakira performs amid dancers and eccentric characters. The chase takes an unexpected surreal turn when the apparently human officers are exposed as robots, giving the video a playful science-fiction twist that matches the song's exaggerated portrait of love-struck helplessness.
