Synopsis

Mariah Carey spends a carefree day moving between the city and a lively outdoor gathering, surrounded by friends, dancers, and exotic animals. The imagery shifts between playful street scenes, colorful party moments, and close-ups of Carey performing with exuberant energy. The remix version follows the same basic concept as the original video, but its editing is adjusted to fit the longer 12-inch club mix, giving the celebratory footage a more extended, dance-oriented flow.

Factoids & Trivia

• The remix video was made for the C+C 12-inch Club Mix of "Emotions." The visual concept remains essentially the same as the album-version video, with only relatively minor editorial changes.

• The video was filmed in August 1991, during the promotion of Carey's second studio album, *Emotions*.

• Carey later described the production as enjoyable because many friends were involved, although she was still becoming comfortable with the performance demands of music-video work early in her career.

• An extended version was included as a bonus on the home-video release of *MTV Unplugged*.

• The 12-inch Club Mix was produced by David Cole and Robert Clivilles, who also co-wrote and co-produced the original song with Carey.
