Synopsis

Ice Cube delivers a confrontational performance in a grand, church-like interior filled with religious and Renaissance-inspired imagery. KoRn appear in dark suits, playing alongside him and reinforcing the video's unusual blend of gangsta rap and nu metal. The visual style is theatrical and deliberately excessive, matching the song's swaggering defiance of death. Rather than following a conventional narrative, the clip presents Cube as a larger-than-life figure presiding over a bizarre ceremonial spectacle, with KoRn functioning as his imposing rock-band counterpart.

Factoids & Trivia

• The song was released on November 17, 1998, as part of Ice Cube's album War & Peace Vol. 1 (The War Disc). The music video followed in 1999.

• KoRn's Brian "Head" Welch and James "Munky" Shaffer supplied the guitar parts for the recording. Although only the two guitarists are credited musically, all five members of KoRn appear in the video.

• The video's church-like setting and Renaissance references give the collaboration a mock-religious atmosphere, contrasting Ice Cube's street-oriented delivery with KoRn's gothic nu metal image.

• "Fuck Dying" was part of a broader exchange between the artists. Ice Cube had previously appeared on KoRn's "Children of the Korn," while KoRn had covered Ice Cube's "Wicked."

• The collaboration was also featured on the Family Values Tour '98 home video, reflecting the period's growing crossover between hip-hop and alternative metal audiences.
