Synopsis

An ice cream truck rolls through the night before its strange driver enters a house occupied by Coal Chamber. One by one, the band members are captured while engaged in unsettling, childlike activities. The driver forces each of them to watch the band performing through a View-Master, then ties them to chairs in the basement and tapes the devices to their faces. After tormenting his victims, he leaves the house, climbs back into the Coal Chamber-branded truck, and disappears into the darkness.

• The video was filmed in October 1997 and accompanied Coal Chamber's self-titled debut album.

• The ice cream truck also appears on the cover of the band's debut album, creating a visual link between the record and the video.

• The ice cream man is not Ozzy Osbourne, despite a long-running misconception. He was played by Aljandro, a friend of the band known for his fangs, interest in vampire culture, and artistic work.

• The Ozzy confusion was encouraged by the actor's resemblance to Osbourne, Coal Chamber's appearances at Ozzfest, and the band's connection to Sharon Osbourne's management. Coal Chamber later worked with Ozzy on a cover of "Shock the Monkey."

• The View-Master images show Coal Chamber performing the song, turning a familiar children's toy into the video game's unsettling instrument of control.
