Synopsis

A teenage girl lives under the threat of violence from her abusive father. As Korn performs inside a small box in her bedroom, a crowd gathers outside the house and seems to offer her a way out. When her father approaches with a belt, one of the youths helps her escape through the window. The band dissolves back into the box, leaving the girl to run into the night. The closing image suggests that similar abuse may be hidden behind doors throughout the neighborhood.

Factoids & Trivia

  • The video opens as a direct continuation of "Freak on a Leash," using the earlier video's closing animation to move into the live-action story.
  • It premiered on MTV on November 26, 1999, during Spankin' New Music Week. The video later became one of Korn's most successful appearances on *Total Request Live*, reaching No. 1 and eventually being retired after ten non-consecutive days at the top.
  • An early version briefly included Fred Durst in a cameo during a close-up of Jonathan Davis. Later versions removed the appearance, making the original cut a minor piece of Korn and Limp Bizkit video lore.
  • Behind-the-scenes footage from the production was included on Korn's *Deuce* video release, which collected the band's music videos through the *Issues* era.

Lyrics

Hey, I'm feeling tired.
My time, is gone today.
You flirt with suicide.
Sometimes, that's ok.
Do what others say.
I'm here, standing hollow.
Falling away from me.
Falling away from me.
Day, is here fading.
That's when, I would say.
I flirt with suicide.
Sometimes kill the pain.
I can always say.
