Synopsis

Kermit and Miss Piggy turn their turbulent relationship into a glossy pop spectacle, trading affectionate complaints and exaggerated declarations while a parade of celebrity guests joins in. The Muppets perform against a stark white background, with Kermit attempting to keep the number together as Piggy's larger-than-life presence takes over. The result is part romantic argument, part celebrity sing-along, and part showcase for the duo's comic chemistry, set to a rewritten version of Fine Young Cannibals' 1988 hit.

• The video promoted "Kermit Unpigged," the 1994 album built around Kermit and other Muppets performing cover songs. The album version adds parody lyrics by Jim Lewis and plays the song as a comic telephone exchange between Kermit and Miss Piggy.

• More than 47 celebrities appear, including Phil Collins, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, Ozzy Osbourne, Little Richard, Conan O'Brien, Helen Hunt, Dick Clark, Katie Couric, Leslie Nielsen, and David Hasselhoff.

• Most of the celebrity footage was filmed during the summer of 1994 at Jim Henson's Carriage House studio in New York. Guests reportedly came in separately to sing and dance along with the track.
