Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer clown around with the band and pretend to play instruments, turning the clip into an extension of the sitcom's upbeat friendship dynamic. • The video was filmed at Studio 8H in New York, the home of Saturday Night Live. The production was originally planned for Los Angeles, where sets had already been built, but scheduling problems made it impossible to gather the entire Friends cast there.

• The shoot was arranged with help from Friends executive producer Kevin Bright, who managed to bring the cast together while they were otherwise on a break.

• The clip was designed with a loose, Beatles-inspired A Hard Day's Night feel rather than as a conventional narrative video. The cast members were encouraged to play around and adopt instruments, with Courteney Cox shown on drums.

• The full-length recording was made only after the short theme became popular. The television version was too brief to function as a conventional single, so the Rembrandts expanded it for their 1995 album L.P.
