Synopsis

In stark black and white, PJ Harvey performs inside a small, isolated house surrounded by an empty desert landscape. Wearing a simple white dress, she sings with an intense, almost ritualistic presence as the camera observes her in the confined interior. She eventually leaves the house and walks barefoot across the barren terrain, turning the song's longing for an absent lover into a solitary journey through an unforgiving landscape.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was released in December 1995, accompanying the third and final single from Harvey's album "To Bring You My Love."

• Its black-and-white photography and stripped-down setting create a sharp contrast with the more elaborate, theatrical imagery associated with several other videos from the same album campaign.

• The visual centers almost entirely on Harvey's performance rather than a conventional narrative or supporting cast.

• The desert setting echoes the song's opening image of a lover crossing a desert plain, while the barefoot walk gives the video a pilgrimage-like quality without spelling out a literal story.

• "Send His Love To Me" reached No. 34 on the UK Singles Chart in 1995.
