Synopsis

Annie Lennox appears as the newly liberated blonde vamp introduced at the end of "Beethoven (I Love to Listen To)." In a dimly lit nightclub or stage setting, she delivers the song straight to the camera with theatrical confidence, exaggerated gestures, and an aggressively flirtatious performance. The video emphasizes her transformation from a constrained housewife into an uninhibited character who demands a strong, traditionally masculine partner while mocking the unreliable, vain, and manipulative men she does not want. After the performance, she stumbles through a corridor and collapses in a hotel room.
