Synopsis

Ace of Base members enter a Stockholm subway station, each following a different passenger: a priest, a war veteran, a station worker, and a nervous woman who seems convinced she is being watched. Their paths gradually intersect on the train. The anxious passenger flees at a station and receives help from the worker, while the veteran recognizes the priest and reconnects with him. The band appears throughout the station and carriage, observing these brief encounters before leaving the subway.

• The video was filmed in September 1994 at Kungstradgarden, an underground metro station in Stockholm, Sweden.

• Its connected storyline was more narrative-driven than many of Ace of Base's earlier performance-focused clips, with several unrelated passengers whose stories converge during one subway journey.

• The video includes a brief period detail: one of the passengers is shown playing a Nintendo Game Boy.

• The clip received strong European television exposure shortly after release. It was A-listed by French music channel MCM in December 1994 and later entered rotation on MTV Europe and VIVA.

• "Living in Danger" was released as a single on October 4, 1994. It became the final single from the US edition of "Happy Nation" and the fourth single from "The Sign."

• Ace of Base performed the song at the first MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin in 1994.
