Synopsis

Set in an ancient-Egypt-inspired royal court, the video opens with a queen growing restless as entertainers fail to impress her. Michael Jackson arrives as a mysterious traveler and wins her attention through a series of increasingly spectacular performances. Eddie Murphy plays the skeptical king, while Iman portrays the queen and Magic Johnson appears as the royal herald. Jackson eventually transforms into a swirling cloud of gold before reappearing inside the palace, where he and the queen share a romantic moment.

• The approximately nine-minute production was promoted as a "short film," continuing Jackson's practice of giving major singles an unusually cinematic treatment.

• It was filmed in January 1992 on the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot, using an elaborate Egyptian temple set.

• Eddie Murphy played the pharaoh, Iman played the queen, and Magic Johnson appeared as the herald. Tom "Tiny" Lister Jr. and Wylie Draper were also part of the cast.
