Billy Idol appears in a dark, theatrical performance video built from extreme closeups, smoke, fire, shadows, and stark lighting. His face seems to emerge from the darkness as he sings, while female backing singers add a cool, detached presence. Steve Stevens receives a prominent spotlight during the guitar solo, surrounded by hooded figures and flames. Factoids & Trivia

• The song was inspired in part by the 1960 French horror film *Les Yeux sans visage*, whose English title is *Eyes Without a Face*. The video does not recreate the film's plot, but its imagery of masks, blankness, and disembodied faces echoes the title's unsettling idea.

• Production lasted three days and involved extensive use of dry ice, smoke, fire, and intense studio lighting. The demanding schedule left little time for sleep.

• Idol wore hard contact lenses during the shoot. After flying to a performance in Arizona, the lenses reportedly fused to his eyes, forcing a hospital visit and several days with his eyes bandaged while his corneas healed.
