Synopsis

Huey Lewis finds himself stranded in the Bahamas after an awkward encounter with a woman named Benny. Their misadventures lead to an impromptu boat trip, which ends when the small vessel overturns. Washed ashore on a deserted island, the pair gradually discovers that being trapped together may not be such a bad thing after all. The band performs throughout the clip, while the lighthearted island comedy gives the romantic song a playful, cinematic setting.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was filmed in the Bahamas in July 1986, with the island used in the story located roughly ten miles from Paradise Island near Nassau.

• Keely Shaye Smith, later known as Keely Shaye Brosnan, plays the woman stranded with Lewis. The appearance was her first acting role after working as a model.

• The Bahamas shoot became the subject of the 1986 behind-the-scenes documentary "Huey Lewis and the News: Before!" The film follows the band and a production crew of about 50 people during the making of the clip.

• Lewis later described "Stuck With You" as the band's biggest music video.

• The song appeared on the album "Fore!" and became the band's second US Billboard Hot 100 number-one single.
