Synopsis

Babyshambles perform "Delivery" in a stark monochrome cityscape. Pete Doherty walks and sings down deserted streets in a dark suit and fedora, while the other band members appear in and around a Jaguar. The restless editing shifts between street performance, driving sequences, freeze frames, abrupt zooms, and Doherty styling his hair before a mirror. Small personal details, including one of Doherty's kittens and a glimpse of his "Astile" tattoo, add an intimate touch before the band heads into the night together.

Factoids & Trivia

  • The video premiered on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom at 12:12 a.m. on August 18, 2007, ahead of the single's September 17 release.
  • Although it has a consistent black-and-white appearance, the clip was created from a mixture of color stock, Super 8, and high-contrast black-and-white 35mm film.
  • The London-shot production combines deliberately rough, handmade-looking footage with sharp rhythmic editing, including freeze frames and sudden zooms.
  • "Delivery" was the first single from Babyshambles' second album, "Shotter's Nation," released in October 2007.
  • The song is credited to Pete Doherty and guitarist Mik Whitnall.
  • The single reached number six on the UK Singles Chart, making it one of Babyshambles' strongest chart performances.
  • The video was included on the limited-edition DVD version of "Shotter's Nation."
  • A separate acoustic demo of "Delivery" was distributed on a 7-inch record packaged with NME magazine before the commercial single appeared.
