Synopsis

Hot Banditoz turn the Backstreet Boys ballad into a bright, dance-pop performance piece. The video focuses on the trio delivering the song through choreographed group routines, individual close-ups, and polished pop staging rather than developing a detailed narrative. Its upbeat presentation contrasts with the original song's wistful tone, recasting "I Want It That Way" as a glossy, carefree party track in the distinctly summery style associated with Hot Banditoz.

Factoids & Trivia

• The song is a cover of the Backstreet Boys' 1999 hit "I Want It That Way," reworked in the Hot Banditoz' Latino-pop and dance-oriented style.

• The single was released in early 2006 through Universal Music's domestic division. The associated video edit runs for approximately 3 minutes and 21 seconds.

• The release also included a Spanish-language counterpart titled "Es A Mi Manera," effectively adapting the song's central hook into Spanish.

• "I Want It That Way" appeared during the group's Bodyshaker era, following their breakthrough with "Veo Veo" and their established focus on upbeat holiday and resort-party pop.

• The track was issued in several versions, including radio, karaoke, video, and Bodyshaker club edits.

• Hot Banditoz' version is often encountered under the additional title "Es A Mi Manera," which can make it harder to distinguish from the English-language release in catalog listings.
