Synopsis

The video combines Apocalyptica's cello-driven performance track with footage from the French fantasy thriller "Vidocq." Its dark, gothic imagery follows the film's mysterious investigation through grim streets, violent confrontations, masked figures and supernatural-looking visions. The rapid editing and ominous atmosphere match the song's themes of fading fame, loss and despair. Rather than presenting a separate narrative centered on the band, the clip functions primarily as a cinematic montage and an extension of the film's brooding world.

• The video uses scenes from "Vidocq," the 2001 French film starring Gerard Depardieu and Guillaume Canet. The song also serves as the movie's ending theme.

• "Hope Vol. 2" is the vocal adaptation of the instrumental track "Hope" from Apocalyptica's 2000 album "Cult."
